A new e-learning module is available on HSE Land entitled ‘Social prescribing – for healthcare professionals’.
By the end of this 25 minute long course, learners will be able to:
- Explain what social prescribing is.
- Describe who can benefit from social prescribing and how it positively impacts participants’ health and wellbeing.
- Explain the role of the social prescribing link worker and what the social prescribing process looks like for participants.
- Understand how to refer a person to a social prescribing service.
HSE-funded Social Prescribing services are now available in over 40 locations around the country. These services are delivered in partnership with community and voluntary organisations.
