The results of the HSE Talking Health & Wellbeing Podcast Listener Survey are in and they certainly provide the impetus to keep going with this new communication channel for our work. Following the end of Series 1 in July, a survey was undertaken to see what our listeners thought of the podcast series.
- 90% of respondents said they were very likely or likely to recommend the series to a friend of family member
- 54% of respondents listened to between 1 to 3 episodes and 32% of respondents listened to between 4 and 7 episodes.
- 25% heard about the podcast via our website, 23% via word of mouth, with 20% hearing about it from social media. In addition, 16% of respondents heard about it from our own ezine.
We also received lots of compliments about the podcast, the quality of guests and the depth of the knowledge and experience shared in the various episodes and respondents also fed back about some ways the work could be improved, promoted more and topics for inclusion in future episodes. Since late February this year, HSE Health and Wellbeing have produced weekly podcast episodes about various health topics and priority areas and encouraged all stakeholders to tune in to learn more from our various colleagues and experts discussing their work and policy areas. Covering a range of wellbeing topics and issues such as Tobacco, Men’s Health, Social Prescribing, Alcohol and Making Every Contact Count.
