Men’s Health Week 2025 – Calling all Supporters

In preparation for Men’s Health Week 2025, a free webinar took place on Wednesday, 30th April 10am – 11am, for partners, stakeholders and supporters of Men’s Health Week, a recording of the webinar is available to watch on our YouTube channel.

The purpose of this event was to encourage anyone interested in promoting, supporting or organising an event during Men’s Health Week, to hear about what is happening during the week, see what is available to support and get some ideas to action from others who have already given it a go!

Speakers included:

  • Greg Clarke, Health Promotion and Improvement Officer, HSE Community Services Cavan Donegal Leitrim Monaghan Sligo
  • Rachel Macauley, Sports Development Officer, Limerick Sports Partnership

Men’s Health Week take place from Monday, June 9th – Sunday June 15th 2025.

The overall aims of the week are to:

  • Heighten awareness of preventable health problems for males of all ages.
  • Support men and boys to engage in healthier lifestyle choices / activities.
  • Encourage the early detection and treatment of health difficulties in males.

Each year, there is also a specific theme.  During 2025, the theme for the island of Ireland will be ‘Shoulder-to-Shoulder: Connecting for Health’. Encouraging men to support each other and to normalise taking about their health.

The Men’s Health Forum in Ireland (MHFI) coordinates activity on the island of Ireland for Men’s Health Week, which is supported by the HSE. With over 60 partner organisations and growing, this is truly a collective effort.
